The Challenge
The client needed to digitize the traditional rotating savings model (ROSCA), widely used in India and similar markets, in a way that remained culturally intuitive for users with limited technical exposure. The platform had to support community-based trust, handle financial coordination, and offer multilingual accessibility, all while launching first without automated payment gateways due to regulatory constraints.
Our Approach
We structured the platform around a community-first interaction model, prioritizing clarity and trust over complexity. The MVP introduced Cirkle creation, membership requests, contribution scheduling, payment reminders, proof-of-payment uploads, and admin validation workflows. We employed simplified navigation, icon-led UI, bilingual support, manual payment handling, and role-based interfaces across mobile and web to ensure accessibility and low learning curve adoption.
